This collection of great expository sermons represents preachers in many Protestant denominations, through a period of sixteen centuries. The sermons cover a wide range of Scripture passage and theme, and demonstrate a number of different approaches to expository preaching. They appear in their original form and length. Preceding each sermon is a biographical sketch of its author and also a brief analysis of the sermon which follows -- adding immeasurably to the lucidity of the contents and interpreting the motivation for writing.
